CDLS: More Than a Company, An Artistic Universe
CDLS Company is much more than a troupe: it is a collective of passionate artists reinventing live performance. We bring together circus, theatre, dance, music and street arts to create timeless, suspended moments.
Each project is unique and is born in our workshop: hand-sewn costumes, illuminated floats designed and built by us, and staging and scenography created for each venue and each audience.
We perform all across France, offering roaming shows, luminous performances and original event animations. Our mission: to make people dream, surprise them and bring them together around an unforgettable artistic experience.
The Story of a Live Performance Company
CDLS Company was founded in 2007 under the name Clown Dans La Sciure, with the goal of bringing circus and theatre beyond traditional venues. First known for its clowns and street animations, the company now travels across Europe and the world to share its universe with all audiences.
Its repertoire has expanded to include stilt walkers, jugglers, mimes, luminous roaming acts and fire shows. This diversity allows the company to collaborate with festivals, municipalities, shopping centers and businesses for tailor-made performances.
Its workshop, the true creative heart of the company, designs costumes, illuminated floats, sets and accessories to bring the company’s universe to life and enhance the audience’s experience.
Today, CDLS Company is a reference in all-audience live performance, blending circus, theatre, dance and music to create moments where poetry, technique and wonder come together.

The Creative Heart of CDLS Company
Behind the scenes of CDLS lies a place where imagination becomes reality. This workshop is the beating heart of the company, where costumes, illuminated floats and sets are born to bring our shows to life.
Everything begins with a sketch, an idea, a color. Then come the artists’ hands, the meticulous work of fabric, metal and light. Every character, every accessory and every set is designed and crafted to tell a story and transport the audience.
It is this creative freedom, nurtured since our beginnings, that allows us to take our shows everywhere, in France and internationally, and to offer unique experiences tailored to each venue and each event.
Our workshop is much more than a simple workspace: it is a laboratory where passion, technique and poetry come together. It is where everything is imagined, built, refined and elevated so that, on stage or in the street, the magic can happen.
Team Spirit Before the Stage
In the dressing rooms, our artists gather away from the public’s eyes to experience the final moments before stepping on stage. It is an intimate place where everyone adjusts their costume, finishes their makeup and checks their accessories, while sharing a word of encouragement or a knowing smile.
This preparation space reflects the soul of CDLS: discipline and creativity, but also cohesion and mutual support. It is in this special atmosphere that the collective energy is forged, transforming every live performance into a unique moment, in France and abroad.
